Raptors Roll Again, Take Game 4 Behind Balanced Attack and Steady Arms
Ogden earns the series win over the Owlz with a 10-2 win Friday night at Lindquist Field, riding a steady mix of offense and strong pitching to push the series to 4-0 and improve to 19-15 on the year.
The offense got going in the second, when Dylan Wilkinson tied it up launching an RBI single, and then they broke things open with a five-run fourth, highlighted by an Evan Blum two-run homer and RBIs from Carmine Lane, Kenneth Oyama, and Cole Jordan.
Blum finished with two RBIs and scored once, while Connor Bagnieksi kept his strong week rolling with two more RBIs—one on a single and one on a walk with the bases loaded in the eighth.
Jordan stayed hot with a 3-for-5 night, and True Fontenot continued his tear, going 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored.
On the bump, Cole Stasio made his first start of the year and was uber impressive, tossing five innings of one-run ball to grab the win. Kyler Stancato, Christian Ciuffetelli, and Jestin Jones handled the final four frames, giving up just one run and striking out five combined.
The Raptors have now outscored Northern Colorado 51-10 through the first four games of the series, and 72-18 in their last 5 contests.
The action continues Saturday night, June 28, with Game 5 at Lindquist Field. First pitch is at 6:30 PM, and it’s Mystery Giveaway Night—you never know what you’ll get, but you’ll want to be early to grab one.
