Raptors Explode for 21 Runs, Win Road Series 4-2
The Ogden Raptors ended their six-game road series with authority Sunday afternoon, throttling the Idaho Falls Chukars 21–8 in an offensive explosion in the series finale.
After giving up 27 runs the night before, the Raptors responded with a statement of their own—pounding out 23 hits and racking up 21 runs behind a relentless offensive attack.
Christopher Sargent Jr. led the charge with two homers, notching a record-setting, career-high nine RBIs. Kyler Stancato added four hits and three RBIs, while Dylan Wilkinson, Carmine Lane, and Kenny Oyama all delivered multi-hit performances to keep the pressure on from start to finish.
Ogden put up 15 runs across the third, fourth, and fifth innings alone, and never looked back. Chase Chatman was filthy all afternoon, battling through five innings of one-run baseball to earn the win. The bullpen quartet of Jestin Jones, Christian Ciuffetelli, Cam Edmonson, and Nik Cardinal combined to close down the final four frames.
With the win, Ogden earns the clean 4-2 series win on the road trip and heads back to Lindquist Field with all the momentum on their side.
The Raptors return home on Tuesday, June 24, to start a six-game homestand against the Northern Colorado Owlz. Tuesday is Canner’s Cap Giveaway Night, presented by Bank of Utah, as fans are encouraged to arrive early to get their hands on the Canner’s limited-edition headwear.
