Ogden Raptors announce their 2023 local Open Tryout

The Ogden Raptors are happy to announce their 3rd annual local Open Tryout. 

As the Ogden Raptors are busy preparing for thier 30th season of Professional Baseball in Downtown Ogden, team President/Owner Dave Baggot and Field Manager Kash Beauchamp, are excited to annouce that for the 3 third now we will be hosting a local tryout at beautiful Lindquist Field. 

This event is a one day showcase style open tryout camp for the 2023 Ogden Raptors Championship Season.  The tryout will take place on Saturday, May 13 starging at 10am.  Attendees will report to Lindquist Field front gates for check-in and wavier signing.  

After check-in players will be tested in a variety of skills including the following: 60 yard dash, throwing, fielding, hitting and pitching.  Pitching will take place in the bullpens.  Attendees should note that they are responsible for all of their own gear: gloves, bats, pants, cleats, etc.  Attendees should also note that ONLY wood bats will be allowed.

Our Spring Training roster has been set and coaches are using this as an additional scouting opportunity to create the short list of guys to bring when a player gets traded or acquired by an MLB club.
